Inquire of the Lord
Heavenly Father, You know that for my entire life, I have always had a heart for adoption and for the orphan. My heart's desire is to be a home to the homeless, a mother to the motherless, and to glorify you in the process. Lord, I come to you today, to ask you if the time is now. Lord, I want you to go before me. I want you to lead. If you don't want this for my life and for our family, Lord, please, shut the door. Show me. Open my eyes. Lord, I want to follow your will. I want my position to be under your authority. I don't want to come up with my own ideas and ask you to come along with me, but rather, submit to YOUR IDEAS. Lord, help me. Give me confirmation as to which way we should go. Give us unity if your answer is "yes" and "now." Show us if your answer is "wait" or "no." I am calling on your name. The Sovereign God.
